Well, I guess it would depend on the type of dirt, to some degree. The microfiber mop head covers pick up wet messes pretty well, and scrubs up dried spaghetti sauce off our polished concrete floors. But, it doesn't pick up debris very well. Generally, a quick sweep followed by a good mopping leaves our floors squeaky clean.

On the microfiber pad..if the pad gets really dirty..pull off and throw it in the washer..but don't put in the dryer. .air dry

I sweep or vacuum my floors first, cause if you pick up a lot of dust it kind of "rolls" when it gets wet and has to be picked up after mopping or it drops back down. As far as spots on the tile floors, it gets picked up in the cloth cover of the mop. Then you was the mop cover in your clothes washer.

It will be on the bottom of the microfiber pads attached to the mop and they can be cleaned by throwing in the washing machine. It comes with 4.

Onto the microfiber pad, you have two and can swap them out if one gets too dirty. You can also order more pads if you want

On really dirty floors, where does the dirt go?

Yes, you can use it without the disc. It fits into a mesh pocket inside the mop pad. You don't have to insert it if you don't want to. You could make your own I suppose, or cut Bissell's in half so it won't be as strong.

You don't need the scent disc. Should be fine to make your own. The scent piece is like a thin styrofoam disc that slips into a pocket on the cloth part of the mop. The steam picks up the fragrance as it passes through. The essential oils would not pass through the mechanical part of the mop.

You do not have to use the discs but it recommends not to add anything to the water tank.

Yes...I have lament floors..works great. .it doesn't soak the floor..it just steams it and it drys quickly.

I used it on my laminate floor, but used the minimum steam setting. I use the maximum setting on my ceramic tile floors.

I used it once but probably wouldn't use it very often as the steam/moisture will go between the planks. Same issue with wood floors.

It can be used on laminate. Also ceramic tile, vinyl, marble, stone and sealed hard wood. It doesn't recommend waxed and some unwaxed because it'll diminish the glossiness.

I highly recommend this steam mop! I also recommend having extra cloth mop pads on hand. Note* I did use this mop on a new construction project. It will work better as a daily mop to keep the floors clean after they are clean to begin with. My floors need a good scrub clean before I feel confident in using this for cleaning.

Any dirt/spills/stains on the floor come off with ease. I also use it to steam clean the floor in my in-home gym and I purchased the carpet attachment and even steam over the rubber black matting in my gym space. Just dry swifter or vacuum your hardwood floors first then use the steam Bissell. It's also great for doing a quick spot clean on carpet that may have had a spill or pet accident on it.
